Online gaming firm asks NTC to lift restraining order

AN online gaming company wants the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to lift the cease and desist order against its offering of value added service (VAS) without permit.
In a filing with the regulator, Jewoo Yeom, MyGame.Ph Inc. vice president, said the company is 100-percent foreign-owned corporation, therefore, “it is not eligible at the very outset to secure VAS registration from NTC because it requires that a VAS provider should at least be 60-percent Filipino-owned.”
Because of this, the company was and continues to be ineligible to register as a VAS provider, Yeom said.
